This song really touches base with true life and what it is really like. I find it fascinating to compare it to a highway. It fits perfectly if you think about it. Highways are not always perfectly paved. They have curves, hills, potholes, cracks, and bumps where they've been repaired. In life we are faced with daily crossroads but the question remains, “Are we gonna give up?” or “live our life in drive?” Life will throw us on some pretty sharp curves but what matters is how we handle them and that’s the true message I feel this song portrays. Life is not perfect and was never promised to be easy, "it’s just a lesson we all gotta learn." |
